A word about who we are at Genrebusters:

First let me tell you what we are not.

We are not a “scoop” site like ainitcool.com.

We don’t care too much about the latest Hollywood rumor, or the word on the street.

Now, this doesn’t mean that every once in a while we won’t talk about these things, it just means we will not focus on them.

We are not a bunch of overly cynical, ironic Gen-X/Y’ers who can only be snide and witty with every written or spoken word.

Yes there are times when our humor will appear to be cynical, ironic, snide and/or witty, but we are not trying to be like this – sometimes we just are.

What we want to do is, well you see it’s like this:

We want to bring about intelligent discussion of genre-media through reviews, critiques, essays and rants. We want reviews to be more than just a quick synopsis of the plot, or who’s who. We want to critique the things we love, and dissect them, and come to some realizations about how things fit in their respective genres.

Some of these things we take quite seriously, while others we realize are just good old-fashioned pulp entertainment. We are happy in our genre-ghettos and wish to spread our message around.
